ADRA Thailand is currently seeking an External Consultant for a Final Evaluation as detailed below;

 

INTRODUCTION

ADRA serves vulnerable and marginalized people in Thailand since 1984. ADRA works with people in poverty and distress to create just and positive change through empowering partnerships and responsible actions. ADRA seeks to identify and address social injustice and deprivation in developing countries. The agency’s work seeks to improve the quality of life of those in need. Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) UK, in partnership with ADRA Thailand, is implementing the Attainment of migrant women’s rights and entitlements in Tak province through local civil society organizations and advocacy networks (AMWRE project) in Mae Sot District in Tak Province of Thailand. The 54 months project began in August 2009 and will be completed in January 2014.

ADRA is a global network of independent humanitarian organizations. ADRA Thailand was established in 1984 by the Seventh Day Adventist Church for the specific purpose of providing individual and community development and disaster relief. ADRA Thailand works with people in poverty and distress to create just and positive change through empowering partnerships and responsible action. ADRA Thailand has served vulnerable and marginalized people in Thailand through community development initiatives targeting Food Security, Economic Development, Primary Health and Education.

 

ADRA Thailand is building a dedicated team of people to support two large education projects in the seven refugee camps along the Thailand – Myanmar border. ADRA has managed and implemented the Vocational Training for Refugee from Myanmar (VTRM) project since 2011. The VTRM project aims to build the self-reliance and quality of life of refugees by providing quality vocational skills training in line with Thai and International standards.

The VTRM project aims to improve the quality of life of refugees by providing standardized quality Vocational training in line with Thai education standards.
